Corporate Social Responsibility Spotlight: Ecolab
Last month, Ecolab Digital Center and SMC Squared joined together to raise funds to support our community in India. On April 25, the country crossed the 350,000 mark of new single-day Covid-19 cases, the highest number of daily cases in the world since the beginning of the pandemic. As a result of the significant increase of daily cases, India is experiencing a shortage of equipment to help Covid-19 patients breathe.
Together we raised and donated over $13,000 to help provide medical equipment to charitable hospitals and COVID Care Centers in partnership with GiveIndia and Doctors For You.
“We’re proud to be able to do our bit to help the current crisis,” said Director of Human Resources Supriya Ambuga.
SMC Squared is committed to giving back regularly to our communities globally and locally. Over the last several years, our company has donated funds to India initiatives that have helped provide clean water for schools and supported work skills development and equipment for a nonprofit serving women who have been trafficked, among other initiatives.
